*Sequential & Parallel settings are not yet natively supported in the Pulse app, these settings will need to be changed in your OpenSprinkler device dashboard in the meantime*
By default, valves connected to your OpenSprinkler are set to Sequential mode (Groups AโD). In this mode, valves activate one after another. To run multiple valves simultaneously, you must assign them to the Parallel group (P).
Changing Valve Groups
To change the group of your valve(s), you will need to go to your OpenSprinkler dashboard and then tap on the gear (โ๏ธ) icon next to the station your valve is setup on.
After you click the gear icon, a small window will pop up. Navigate to the "Advanced" section, then select the "Sequential Group" dropdown menu. Here you can set what group your station is on.
Understanding Valve Group Behavior
As mentioned above, groups A -> D are all sequential groups. Group P is Parallel.
Sequential Groups (A -> D)
Valves in the same group run one after another.
Example: If Group A has Stations 1 and 2, and Group B has Stations 3 and 4:
Stations 1 (A) and 3 (B) run together.
After their durations end, Stations 2 (A) and 4 (B) run together.
Multiple sequential groups run concurrently but run their stations in sequence.
Parallel Group (P)
All valves in Group P activate and run simultaneously.
Important: The adapter provided with your OpenSprinkler can support 2-3 parallel valves. If you want to run more parallel valves, you will need to upgrade to a stronger 24V AC adapter.
